NLJ’s Top Seven Killas Of The Week

The second week of February is all wrapped up and in the books, with a few solid performances across the board. NLJ gets it — We know you’re busy with life. So, sit back, relax, and let NLJ do our job!

Saturday: Steph Curry (2.3.24)

Curry took over Saturday night as he poured in 60 points, 4 assists, and 6 rebounds on 58% shooting (43% 3pt). Thinking the Warriors lost to the Hawks 141-134 is heartbreaking because Curry got into a great rhythm offensively. How much longer can Curry carry the load for Golden State as the season comes to the all-star break? Putting up 28 points a night and playing 33 minutes a night at the age of 35 proves that Curry is ready for the rest of the season. Will he have more games like this? More than likely

Sunday: Bradley Beal (2.4.24)

Sunday belonged to Mister Bradley Beal. He went on a tear against his old team, scoring 43 points on 76% shooting from the field and on an even better 80% from three. He led the Suns to a 140-112 victory of the lost Washington Wizards. This game came as a statement game for Beal as he’s averaged 32 ppg to start out the month. Beal is finally healthy and getting accustomed to Phoenix’s system as well as meshing well with superstars Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.

Monday: Brandon Ingram (2.5.24)

With a near triple-double, Ingram put up 41 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists in a 38-point win over Toronto. He hit 8 threes, took 21 shots, and only went to the charity stripe once. Ingram continues to lead this young Pelicans team on a daily basis as they sit 6th in the West.

Tuesday: Luka Doncic (2.6.24)

In honor of Kyrie’s homecoming in Brooklyn, “Luka-Magic” obliterated the Nets as he went for 35 points, dished out 9 assists, and controlled the glass with 18 rebounds. We know that Luka is capable of these types of game splits, but when you see it live, and even though it consistently happens, the element of surprise is still very real.

Wednesday: Miles Bridges (2.7.24)

Charlotte is patting themselves on the back after Miles Bridges dropped 45 points in a 123-117 loss to the Raptors, as Bridges has been playing with a chip on his shoulder this year. The Hornets have been losing, but Bridges has been nothing short of productive in the coming weeks.

Thursday: Jerami Grant (2.8.24)

Grant is one of the most underrated scorers in the NBA and doesn’t see any clout for his production. Even though it resulted in a loss to Detroit, he scored 49 points, hoping to push Portland to a victory. During the last five minutes, it was to give the ball to Grant and get out of the way!

Friday 2/9/24-

Friday: Trae Young (2.9.24)

Trae Young ran into Philly and completely dominated offensively. 37 points and 12 assists resulting in a 127-121 win. In his last five outings he’s averaging 29.8 ppg, 10.6 apg while the Hawks sit in the 10th spot in the east at 23-29

Notable Considerations: 2/6/24 – Donte Divencenzo erupted for 32 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists.

2/6/24- Anthony Edwards balled out with 38 points, and 12 rebounds

2/9/24- Jayson Tatum put up 35pts-10rbs-8sts while Tingus Pingus had 34 pts and 11 rbs
