Hawks Sign Gallinari to 3yr/61.5m

The Hawks have been uber aggressive during this offseason and rumors were circulating that they were pursuing Gallinari. And as they wished, a deal was done. The former Thunder forward signed a 3yr/$61.5m deal.

This move surrounds Trae Young with a young core. Gallinari fills a lot of needs for Atlanta as he averaged 18.7 ppg and 5.2 rpg. He is a great knock shooter who can create for himself as well as has an Inside-outside game with length to compete on the glass.

To put more into perspective the Hawks have now traded for Clint Capela, drafted Onyeka Okongwu, and signed Gallinari. They played Hunter a fair bit at PF last season. A lot of other teams are wondering what this all means for John Collins.

A move like this makes matters worse for Collins who is expecting a max deal but Atlanta has shown no signs of giving him it. There are 24 hours in a day so we will see what the Hawks do next.
